UConn lands Jordan Page, adding size to 2027 class

Jordan Page has committed to UConn for 2027. USA Basketball lists him as a 6-foot-5 guard and forward from IMG Academy. He joins NaVorro Bowman Jr. in the Huskies' class. Page gives UConn another perimeter recruit with a strong national profile. His next season will help explain what he can contribute beyond the recruiting label.

Page's 2026 numbers come from two very different settings. ESPN reported 16.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game for Garner Road on the Adidas 3SSB circuit. USA Basketball's record has him starting all six games at the Under-17 World Cup and averaging 9.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He was part of the American team that won gold.

The gap between two samples

The rebounding figures catch the eye first. Page averaged 4.9 more rebounds in club play than he did at the World Cup. The gap raises a question about how each team used him. The club circuit and national tournament had different teammates and opponents. Minutes and assignments could also have varied. The published averages do not tell us how much each factor mattered.

The scoring difference carries the same limit. Page was productive for Garner Road, then contributed on a USA team with other prominent prospects. He started every tournament game, which establishes that he had a regular place in that rotation. Neither average tells us how often he initiated offense, defended a larger wing or played through a cold shooting stretch. Those details matter to a college role, and we have not reviewed film to claim them.

UConn's commitment changes its future recruiting picture. Bowman, a guard, chose the Huskies in September. Page adds size and a separate scoring record to the perimeter group. What that pair looks like in a college lineup depends on the roster UConn has in 2027-28, as well as on what each player shows during his senior season.

The Huskies' current roster announcement describes the team for 2026-27. Page's commitment concerns the season after that. For now, the useful next evidence is how he plays for IMG Academy across a longer schedule. Rebounding assignments, touches and decisions with the ball can give the club and USA numbers a clearer basketball meaning before anyone assigns him a spot in Storrs.
