Notes from the CBR board, class of 2027 unless marked. Per the board as of August 21.
Board correction. Javon Bardwell, previously No. 20, decommitted from Kansas and reclassified to the class of 2026 on August 12, per On3 and the Lawrence Journal-World. He is off the 2027 board and every player behind him moved up one spot.
Wisconsin is closed for business. All five ranked Wisconsin players are committed: Dooney Johnson (No. 20) to Gonzaga, Kager Knueppel (No. 24) to Duke, Donovan Davis (No. 47) and Jack Kohnen (No. 52) to Iowa State, Jalen Brown (No. 77) to Wisconsin. No other state with more than two ranked players is fully spoken for. See the Wisconsin board.
Iowa State holds three. Davis, Kohnen, and Josiah Harrington (No. 55, North Scott, Iowa) give the Cyclones three top-100 pledges, the most of any program on the board. Purdue and Wisconsin hold two each. Purdue's pair: Isaiah Hill (No. 13, Pike, Indiana) and Kevin Savage (No. 37, Wheeler, Georgia).
The top 10 is untouched. Zero commitments among the top 10 and zero among the top 12. The highest-ranked committed player is Hill at No. 13. Twenty-four of the 100 are committed in total, 76 are open.
SEC and Big Ten are pacing. Kentucky (Ryan Hampton, No. 19), LSU (Ahmad Hudson, No. 22), Missouri (Scottie Adkinson, No. 29), Georgia (Justin Wise, No. 85), and Texas A&M (Chase Richardson, No. 87) give the SEC five of the 24. Baylor adds Tyrone Jamison Jr. (No. 34) for the Big 12. The Big Ten counts Purdue's two, Indiana (Chase Branham, No. 27), Illinois (Quinton Kitt, No. 76), Wisconsin's two, and Minnesota (Isaiah Santos, No. 71).
Missouri keeps its own. Scottie Adkinson (No. 29) to Missouri and Jimmy McKinney Jr. (No. 99) to Saint Louis keep two of the state's five ranked players in state.
Class of 2028 board is live. Eighty-eight sophomores ranked, zero commitments, Colton Hiller (Coatesville, Pennsylvania) at No. 1. The 2028 board updates weekly alongside 2027.
