The basics
ESPN lists Diop at 6-foot-10 and 220 pounds, hometown San Gabriel, Calif., at San Gabriel Academy, status undeclared. Sports Illustrated listed him at 6-foot-11 with a 7-foot-3 wingspan and wrote that he is from Mali. Listed as a C at San Gabriel Academy, and he appears on the California board. Status: uncommitted.
The boards
ESPN ranks him No. 58 in the class of 2027 with a scout grade of 84. Prep Hoops ranks him No. 62.
Production
Sports Illustrated reported a CIF State Division 3 title, 16 points, 16 rebounds, and seven blocks in the regional final, then 20 points, 13 rebounds, and seven blocks in the championship at Golden 1 Center.
The recruitment
He is uncommitted. ESPN's school list, last updated July 5, 2026,. Sports Illustrated, in March 2025, quoted his coach saying he held offers from Texas Tech and UC Riverside, with Arizona, Stanford, Creighton, and Mississippi State calling.
What to watch
Sports Illustrated's title-week box scores were rim protection and glass. The question is whether that same block-and-board rate shows up in a published season average.
