Kager Knueppel 2027 Scouting Profile

The basics

Knueppel plays for Wisconsin Lutheran, the same program that produced his brother Kon, a 2024 Duke recruit now with the Charlotte Hornets, per CBS Sports. 247Sports lists him at 6-foot-9 and 215 pounds, ESPN at 6-foot-10 and 205. Listed as a PF at Wisconsin Lutheran, and he appears on the Wisconsin board. Status: committed to Duke Blue Devils.

The boards

247Sports' Adam Finkelstein called him a skilled perimeter forward and one of the best shooters in the country, with a naturally compact, fluid release, while flagging that he is not yet much of a shot creator and finishes around 44 percent at the rim.

Production

Yahoo Sports reported 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists a game with better than 50 percent three-point shooting on the spring EYBL circuit with Team Herro. 247Sports logged 47 percent from three on about six attempts a game, and the Roanoke Star reported a 24-point, eight-three-pointer game at Peach Jam.

The recruitment

Committed to Duke, per CBS Sports. ESPN lists six offers including Purdue, Wisconsin, and Arkansas. His ranking moved sharply upward around the commitment, from a three-star snapshot cited by Bleacher Report to a top-25 grade across the services.

He is committed to Duke Blue Devils. The states producing the most 2027 recruits is the house piece that sits next to this card. I am holding Knueppel at No. 24 for Duke Blue Devils. 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds is why the 2027 board printed him there.

What to watch

The shooting is not in question. The rim finishing and shot creation notes are. A big who shoots 47 percent from three and improves at the rim is a lottery profile, which is why Duke moved first.
