The case for Bella Vista
Start with the season. Bella Vista finished 26-4, won Chipotle Nationals, and won EYBL Scholastic. That is the first line on the prep board. Compass finished 26-3 and did not take those two. One fewer loss is not a better year than two titles.
Then the roster. Seven ranked players across 2027 and 2028 to five. Osaruyi at 14 is not Henry at 3. The rest of the Bella Vista list is thicker: Nur at 30, then two more 2027 names, then three 2028 names. A recruit picking a gym is picking who he practices against. Bella Vista has more of those names.
Each program sent three players into ESPN's final 2026 top 100. That column is a tie. The titles are not. I'd take the gym that already won the events the sport uses to name a national champion.
VerdictI'd pick Bella Vista. No. 1 on our prep board, two national titles on the season line, and seven ranked players. The record and the roster agree.

The case for Compass
Tomas wants the banners. I want the best player in the building.
Henry is No. 3 on the 2027 board. Osaruyi is No. 14. Miles is No. 18 on the 2028 board. Bella Vista's best 2028 name is Mitakaro at 31. If the question is who you share a locker room with at the top, Compass wins that in both classes.
The record is 26-3 against Bella Vista's 26-4. That is not a different tier. That is one extra loss on the No. 1 team and one fewer on the No. 3 team. The 2026 pipeline is 3-3. The gap Tomas is selling is two event titles and two extra ranked names in the 60s and 70s.
I'd take the gym that has Henry. The rest of the card is close enough that the best player should break the tie.
