The basics
Scott plays for New Bern High School. ESPN lists him at 6-foot-9 and 210 pounds. Prep Hoops lists him at 6-foot-5 and has him with Eight Way Basketball. Prep Hoops ranks him No. 4 in North Carolina. Listed as a SF at New Bern, and he appears on the North Carolina board. Status: uncommitted.
The boards
ESPN ranks Scott No. 22 in the class. Prep Hoops' Miles Masercola wrote that he is the best defensive prospect in the North Carolina 2029 class, with absolutely incredible instincts at that end of the floor.
Production
Prep Hoops reported freshman averages of 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.9 blocks a game on 46 percent shooting.
The recruitment
Prep Hoops listed an East Carolina offer. He is uncommitted.
What to watch
Masercola's defensive read is the scheme grade: a wing who can guard more than one spot. The next number is whether the 15.9 scoring line survives a sophomore scouting report.
